The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games
By: RB

What would you do if you heard your little sister’s name being called to sacrifice herself in a game? This is exactly what happens in the amazingly, suspenseful book that you won't put down in, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This book hooks you in with the suspense, adventure and a little bit of romance.
The Hunger Games grasps you with the suspense on every page. Suzanne Collins has pulled you in to believe that you know exactly what's happening, but at the last minute she will jerk it right way and change everything. Katniss hearing her sister’s name being called. All the thoughts rushing through her head.
There must have been a mistake. This can’t be happening. Prim was one slip of paper in thousands! Her chances of being chosen so remote that I’d not even bothered to worry about her. Hadn’t I done anything? Taken the tesserae, refused to let her do the same? One slip. One slip in thousands. The odds had been entirely in her favor. But it hadn’t mattered.
This is an example how Suzanne Collins will have no mercy on taking away the most important thing in the world to Katniss. Her little baby sister, Prim.
Throughout this book and this year I learned that I really do enjoy reading, but only when I find just the right book. I found myself finding even one minute of spare time to fit in one or two paragraphs.
I rate book is a solid TEN! As soon as I finished this book I was scrambling for the next one. I would recommend this book to people who like adventures, survival and a suspenseful love story, but everyone will enjoy it.
