Are you in middle school? Have you read any James Patterson books? Then read Middle School Worst Years Of My Life by
James Patterson with Chris Tebbetts. This book is realistic fiction
and has many pictures by Laura Park. In this book Rafe K is the main
charter and he is a trouble maker. With his friend Leo they create a
game and it can get them both in trouble.
In
this book Patterson and Tebbetts made really good characters. Some of
the names are really funny like Dragon lady as the English teacher,
Bear as the almost step-dad. When Patterson and Tebbetts introduce new
characters its smooth. it’s smooth because it feels like it’s real life
and Rafe and Leo (Rafe’s friend) are real kids going to school.
Do
you remember the nursery rhyme about Jack Sprat and his wife? How
neither of them ate the same thing, but between the two of them they got
the job done? Same deal with me and Leo Except the fat and the lean
areee words and pictures. Make sense? I do the talking and Leo takes
care of the drawing.
As you can see that is a example of a good characters.
When
I read Middle School Worst Years of My life I flet like it was a real
life school and I was with Rafe and Leo in Rafe’s bedroom. I surprised
at the end when I thought what was going to happen and the author just
twisted it all around.
If
you like realistic fiction this book would be for you. With this book I
give it a 8 out of 10 because i can relate to rafe about not knowing
where he belongs in middle school. James Paterson and Chris Tebbets made
a sequel to this book but you have to read this on first because you
would be really confused
